Do you suspect you are neurodivergent? Let’s find out together.
What does an evaluation look like?
Each evaluation requires roughly 4-6 hours of face-to-face contact with Dr. Maxwell and/or his trainee*. These hours include but are not limited to unstructured and semi-structured interviews, self-report inventories, and cognitive testing. Dr. Maxwell may also ask to speak with someone familiar with you (e.g., your sibling, parent/guardian, or significant other) to obtain “3rd party” information to assist in his evaluation(s).
After the evaluation, you will receive a comprehensive report for your records, as well as an additional “user-friendly,” jargon-free summary of your results.
Important note about use of insurance: Please check your insurance plan’s behavioral/mental health-related benefits in advance of your assessment to determine if your plan covers psychological testing. Some plans require pre-authorization for psychological testing. We strongly encourage you to contact your plan’s member support services directly if your plan’s written benefits summary does not clearly state your available benefits for psychological testing. Please note you are responsible for payment if your plan’s benefits do not cover psychological testing.
