Dr. Tristen Winston: Expert care for addiction, couples, veterans, and executives.

Dr. Tristen Winston is Board Certified in Addiction Psychology, a Licensed Psychologist in CA, KS and MO, Nationally Certified as a Master Addiction Counselor, and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor in KS.

Dr. Winston earned a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and holds a Master’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Executive Coaching, and a Bachelor’s degree in Theater/Film from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Winston specializes in addiction treatment and the treatment of trauma, in addition to being trained as a couples therapist by the Gottman Institute. Supporting her care of military service members, veterans, and first responders, Dr. Winston completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Military Behavioral Health from Alliant University with work experience at the Veterans Administration.

Dr. Winston has a passion for training the next generation of psychologists. Throughout her career, she has developed several clinical training programs and served as a clinical supervisor for master’s and doctoral-level psychology students. In addition, she provides psychology internship didactic trainings for the National Psychology Training Consortium, has served as an adjunct faculty member, and often presents at conferences for professional organizations, such as the Missouri Psychological Association. In her spare time, Dr. Winston donates her clinical skills working with military service members, veterans, and their families through several nonprofit organizations, and is currently training her rescue puppy to become a Certified Therapy Dog.
